Apple’s FY 2026 fourth quarter results come out today following the closing bell, and soon after that, John Ternus will lead his first earnings call as CEO. It will, of course, be thoroughly scripted, so I’m not expecting any great surprises. I’m mostly curious if Tim Cook will make an appearance and if Ternus will at some point say “Hi, this is John.”

Update: Ternus did not say “This is John,” but we did get “This is Sabih” from COO Sabih Khan. And someone at Apple did remember to update the podcast page, less than an hour after I posted. They also fixed the order, placing Ternus first after initially having him second. I’m assuming that I have the power.
