Trump Is Still Trying to Make ‘Super Intelligence’ Happen

Donald Trump, spouting off on “Truth” Social on Thursday (archived on Trump’s Truth to avoid searing your eyeballs):

The White House considers anyone that uses the term, ‘Artificial Intelligence,’ as opposed to the highly accepted new and more accurate term, ‘Super Intelligence,’ THE ENEMY! President DONALD J. TRUMP

That’s the sitting president of the United States, focusing his precious and unwavering attention on the biggest issue of the day, in a way only a very stable genius can.

A few days earlier, Trump toady Elon Musk had already declared in a tweet that he plans to rename his company from SpaceXAI to SpaceXSI—which, coincidentally, I’m sure, can be abbreviated to SXSI. I expect he’ll change the stock ticker any day now.

In the days following Trump’s initial demand to rename “AI” to “SI,” Slovenia has seen a run on its top-level domain. Anguilla must be fuming.

The “distracted boyfriend” meme, with the angry girlfriend labeled “Anguilla (.ai),” the distracted boyfriend labeled “Trump Techbros,” and the object of attention labeled “Slovenia (.si).”
Trump Flunkies? Lickspittles? Bootlickers? Ass-kissers?

And it gets more ridiculous. Adi Robertson in The Verge:

Justice Department press releases have been modified to include the phrase, trumpeting that a man who flooded streaming platforms with AI-generated songs between 2017 and 2024 committed “Super Intelligence-Assisted Music Streaming Fraud.”

I like to imagine that the prosecutor tasked with making this linguistic fable happen executes massive air quotes each time.
