On this day, the image is an especially poignant and a touching tribute to a man who made the shoe famous.
Assuming the image on the 922 page is new for today, it is indeed a very touching tribute.
Update: Via Nick Heer, this isn’t new for today; it’s there in an October 14, 2025 Wayback Machine capture (here’s the image captured April 6, 2026). Still a lovely tribute (and clever bit of stealth marketing), but it’s not specific to today.
