I didn’t expect to enjoy this interview with Nathan Fielder (paywalled; Apple News+), conducted by Katie Drummond for Wired ahead of the release of You Can See Everything, Fielder’s hotly anticipated film about Elizabeth Holmes. I’ve never seen any of Fielder’s work (and what little I’ve read didn’t suggest I’d find it appealing), so my interest in the film was mostly academic (Is Holmes truly the batshit psychopath the viral trailer makes her out to be? Is the film as extraordinary as the reviews insist?). The interview left me intrigued by Fielder and fascinated by his process. I’m especially curious to see how his experiences during filming play out on screen. I’ll wait until it’s on streaming, though.
