I rarely link to Marques Brownlee’s videos because 21.4 million subscribers, but his general HomeView skepticism closely mirrors my own, though he lands firmly in the “skip” camp and I’m more yolo about it. I know a few people who would like nothing more than an adorable iPad-on-a-swivel in their living room, always available to play music or the latest podcast, check their schedules or the weather, and ask “How many Jedi survived after Order 66?” as they watch Maul – Shadow Lord. An iPad mini on a $10 or $20 swivel would be more useful, but also costlier, and decidedly less cute.
