Andrew R. Chow at Time magazine writes a mostly flattering portrait of John Ternus (“Apple’s New Era”—“How CEO John Ternus Is Engineering the Future”) for its “Best Inventions of 2026” issue. Worth reading, though nothing especially earth-shattering is revealed here. I did, however, enjoy this minor jibe:
In person, Ternus presents as a guy trying to blend in: he dresses in nondescript clothes and speaks in platitudes, often about the brilliance of Apple’s internal culture.
Many of Ternus’ quotes do read like they’re straight out of What Makes Apple, Apple. He is, by all appearances, a true believer.
