Apple’s new HomeView in Rose Pink, Silver, and Space Grey is currently $290 on Amazon; Starlight remains $300.

AppleCare for HomeView is also $10 less than from Apple: $49 for two years of coverage versus $25 a year.

No word on delivery dates from Amazon, though. My local San Francisco Apple Stores show Space Gray and Rose Pink as available on release day, November 13, while Silver and Starlight have slipped to November 16. (The color mix seems to vary by store.) Will Amazon shipments also arrive on Friday or get delayed to Monday, or even later?

I preferred Silver, and briefly considered Starlight, but instead placed a preorder for Space Gray at Apple, foregoing the $10 Amazon savings to ensure first-day pickup at my local Apple Store. Besides, Space Gray will contrast nicely with my all-white countertops.
